Probate Attorneys (Contract and Fully Remote)

Overview

This is a contract, fully remote role for an experienced probate and/or trust & estates attorney. The position offers flexible hours and is designed for attorneys who want to maintain the sophistication of a solo practice while working part-time.

Responsibilities

• Handle probate matters and administration proceedings
• Complete probate forms and supplemental court filings, including:
  • Inventory and Appraisal
  • Accounting
  • Final Distribution documents
• Apply knowledge of local/jurisdictional rules governing the probate process

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience handling probate matters
• Knowledge of appropriate forms and filing requirements based on jurisdictional rules
• Experience completing probate forms and supplemental court filings, including but not limited to Inventory and Appraisal, Accounting, and Final Distribution documents
• J.D. from an accredited law school
• Excellent academic credentials
• Outstanding references
• Licensed and in good standing in state of residence

Compensation & Benefits

• Pay: The annualized pay for this contract position ranges from $150,000 to $210,000 when calculated on a full-time basis.
• Pay factors: Work experience, qualifications, credentials, location, market supply/demand, and candidate preference (each candidate’s pay rate affects the client bill rate).
• Benefits: Contract professionals are usually W2 employees and are eligible for full benefits when working in roles for 20 hours per week.
• Benefits-eligible contract professionals receive complimentary Group Life, LTD and AD&D.
• A qualified 401k plan is also available.
• Benefits-eligible attorneys receive a CLE and Professional Expense stipend.
