Overview

A professional services organization is seeking licensed attorneys in good standing in at least one U.S. jurisdiction for remote document review projects. While document review experience is helpful, it is not required. Most projects utilize the Relativity review platform, and training is provided for recent law school graduates and career changers. JDs are highly encouraged to apply.

This role offers an hourly rate of $24 and the potential for promotion to a full-time staff attorney position. The organization emphasizes internal promotion, with 99% of full-time managers hired from the project attorney pool.

Standard hours of operation are 7am to 7pm local time, with core business hours from 10am to 3pm. Attorneys have flexibility to create their own schedules within these hours, provided they maintain active communication with their review manager.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct thorough reviews of legal documents such as contracts, emails, and memos to identify key information and assess relevance to legal matters.
  • Apply analytical skills and legal knowledge to ensure accuracy and compliance with protocols and guidelines.
  • Collaborate with attorneys, paralegals, and litigation support teams to meet project goals.
  • Organize and manage reviewed documents using document management systems.
  • Perform targeted legal research to support case development and strategy.
  • Maintain strict client confidentiality and adhere to data protection regulations.
  • Comply with information security policies consistent with ISO 27001 standards, reporting any security concerns or breaches.

Requirements

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an ABA-accredited law school.
  • Active and good standing membership with the Bar Association in at least one U.S. jurisdiction.
  • Home computer with broadband internet connection.
  • Understanding of legal concepts, terminology, and procedures.
  • Proficiency in legal research using relevant databases and resources.
  • Excellent attention to detail and strong analytical skills.
  • Familiarity with eDiscovery platforms and document review software (e.g., Relativity, Reveal, Logikcull).
  • Proficiency with MS Office Suite, especially Teams, Word, and Excel.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience or demonstrated understanding of handling sensitive and confidential information.
  • Highly organized, reliable, and capable of managing multiple tasks and deadlines effectively.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Hourly pay rate of $24.00.
  • Overtime opportunities on select projects paid at time and a half.
