Overview
This contract psychiatrist role provides evidence-based psychiatric care through a connected network, supporting whole-person and whole-family mental health needs. Responsibilities include conducting live video intake assessments and ongoing follow-up visits, along with medication management and collaboration with families and other care team members.
The provider network includes in-person and virtual clinicians across the US.
Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive psychiatric evaluations, formulate accurate diagnoses, and create individualized treatment plans tailored to each developmental stage.
- Deliver evidence-based treatment using proven therapeutic techniques and medication management strategies to address conditions such as anxiety, depression, ADHD, and mood disorders.
- Provide a family-centered approach by educating families on mental health issues, involving them in care planning, and offering guidance for supportive measures at home.
- Deliver virtual psychiatric sessions via live video while maintaining a high-quality, supportive member experience.
- Participate in team meetings, contribute to collaborative care planning, and provide consultative support to other team members.
- Maintain accurate, timely documentation of assessments, care plans, and progress notes; use data analytics to assess outcomes and support continuous improvement.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory and quality standards, engage in ongoing professional development, and commit to ethical, patient-centered care practices.
Requirements
- Board-certified or -eligible Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist with an active license in at least one state.
- Demonstrated experience providing telehealth therapy services in a virtual environment (video and teletherapy) preferred but not required.
- Comfort with computer and live video tools (e.g., Zoom, Google Meets, DoxyMe, Skype, etc.).
- Demonstrated family engagement skills and experience working with children, adolescents, and young adults.
- Commitment to and familiarity with JCAHO guidelines and competency in practicing within an accredited framework to ensure safety, quality, and compliance.
