Overview
A national law firm is seeking an experienced Telecommunications Regulatory Attorney to provide support on telecommunications, broadband, and digital infrastructure matters on a long-term fractional basis. This role involves advising clients on telecommunications regulatory strategy, agency matters involving the FCC and NTIA, broadband deployment initiatives, spectrum and connectivity issues, and federal funding opportunities.
Responsibilities
- Provide regulatory guidance on federal telecommunications frameworks
- Advise on agency matters with the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) and National Telecommunications and Information Administration (NTIA)
- Support broadband deployment initiatives and infrastructure projects
- Address spectrum and connectivity issues
- Assist clients in navigating federal funding opportunities related to telecommunications
Requirements
- Significant experience with federal telecommunications regulatory frameworks
- Ability to provide practical, business-focused regulatory advice
- Experience advising utilities, municipalities, or public-sector entities on infrastructure projects is highly desirable
- Law firm experience preferred
Position Details
- Start date: ASAP
- Duration: Estimated through the end of the year
- Hours: 10-20 hours per week
- Location: Remote with occasional travel to Washington, D.C.
- East Coast-based candidates preferred but not required
- Candidates near D.C. may have the option for a hybrid work model
Compensation & Benefits
- Hourly rate: $125 to $130 (based on qualifications, skillset, experience, client needs, and project requirements)
