Overview
A fast-growing private cloud company specializing in real-time analytics, data warehousing, and data observability is seeking a Senior Commercial Counsel. This attorney will be an early member of the legal team and will report to the Associate General Counsel. The role is remote and based in the Pacific Time Zone.
Responsibilities
- Support the go-to-market team by reviewing and negotiating customer contracts across the Americas and APAC regions.
- Lead complex cross-border transactions involving sophisticated counterparties in multiple jurisdictions.
- Monitor and advise on relevant regulatory, compliance, and legal developments.
- Provide training, maintain and update policies and templates, and develop scalable workflows to support company growth.
Requirements
- Strong academic credentials and membership in good standing with at least one U.S. state bar.
- Minimum of 7 years of relevant experience, including strong training at a top-rated national or international law firm.
- Experience in both law firm and in-house roles at high-growth technology companies is preferred.
- Proven ability to draft, negotiate, and close complex commercial software and SaaS agreements with enterprise customers, partners, and resellers across multiple jurisdictions.
- Strong understanding of commercial legal issues related to SaaS, software licensing, professional services, and go-to-market programs.
- Excellent judgment with a strong business orientation and the ability to translate legal risk into practical commercial advice.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and management skills with the ability to build trust with sales teams, cross-functional stakeholders, and customers.
- Exceptional attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
- Experience supporting a high-growth infrastructure SaaS company is a plus.
- Experience supporting APAC markets is a plus.
Compensation & Benefits
- Targeted base salary range: $250,000 - $275,000
