Overview

A leading organization in the healthcare sector is seeking a Senior Counsel to join their legal team. This role involves supporting high-impact initiatives that directly influence business performance and team success. The Senior Counsel will collaborate across multiple functions to advance priorities, solve complex legal challenges, and deliver measurable outcomes. The position offers the opportunity to shape both strategic direction and day-to-day legal execution in a dynamic environment.

Location: Remote (U.S. based candidates only; no visa sponsorship available)

Compensation: $168,000 – $231,000 annually

Responsibilities

  • Advise on, draft, and negotiate value-based healthcare arrangements
  • Collaborate with clinical teams on affiliation agreements
  • Assist with contracts related to acquisitions and pilot programs
  • Provide legal consultation to leadership to ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations
  • Manage end-to-end legal work with minimal supervision

Requirements

  • Juris Doctorate degree from an ABA-accredited law school
  • Minimum of 5 years of legal experience within the healthcare industry
  • Active membership in a state bar association
  • Strong legal writing and analytical skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within teams
  • Experience engaging with senior leadership in complex organizational settings
  • Passion for improving consumer healthcare experiences

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience counseling healthcare providers
  • Familiarity with healthcare regulations such as HIPAA, Medicare, and Medicaid
  • Experience negotiating value-based arrangements
  • Collaboration experience with clinical departments
  • Proficiency with contract management systems for new contract arrangements and negotiations
  • Understanding of healthcare delivery models and systems, including value-based care
