Senior Insurance Defense Attorney

This is a Senior Insurance Defense Attorney position with fully remote flexibility.

Compensation listed: $220K.

The organization is expanding and is hiring multiple attorneys across levels to support growth. The role focuses on insurance defense matters involving catastrophic personal injury and wrongful death claims, including complex trials in New York.

Responsibilities

• Lead catastrophic personal injury and wrongful death defenses from policy review through jury verdict
• Draft and argue summary judgment motions in federal and state courts
• Conduct high-stakes depositions of experts and adverse parties
• Negotiate multimillion settlements at mediations and arbitrations
• Serve as first chair for bench and jury trials in high-exposure liability cases

Requirements

• Experience handling catastrophic personal injury and wrongful death matters in insurance defense
• Experience drafting and arguing summary judgment motions in federal and state courts
• Trial experience, including first-chair bench and jury trials

Preferred Qualifications

• Demonstrated success in complex insurance defense outcomes, including dismissals and favorable case results

Compensation & Benefits

• Salary: $220K
• Monthly structured bonuses: $1,500
• Year-end discretionary bonus: up to $18K based on case outcomes
