Senior Specialist Legal Editor, Practical Law – Corporate (Global)
This role involves joining the Corporate and M&A team in the United States as an experienced Corporate and M&A lawyer with cross-border expertise. Responsibilities include researching, writing, and maintaining practical legal know-how content, as well as supporting the development of AI-powered legal solutions.
Responsibilities
- Research, write, and maintain clear, current, and practical legal content aligned with market practice, customer needs, and business objectives.
- Review and edit content written by others, including colleagues and external expert contributors.
- Monitor and stay current on legal, practice, and market developments to ensure content remains accurate, relevant, and aligned with business objectives.
- Apply legal expertise to support the development of customer-focused AI-powered legal solutions.
- Support the development and application of internal AI editorial tools using legal expertise and editorial skills.
- Develop and maintain relationships with lawyers and industry groups to ensure content reflects current market practice.
- Collaborate with product management, sales, marketing, and technology teams to assist the broader organization as needed.
Requirements
- Juris Doctor (JD).
- Current license to practice law in at least one US jurisdiction.
- At least 8 years’ experience working as a Corporate and M&A lawyer in a law firm or in-house.
- Extensive experience advising companies on Corporate law for cross-border matters, including:
- M&A (drafting and negotiating merger agreements, stock/asset purchase agreements, financing and ancillary documents) involving one or more non-US entities
- Company formation and governance, particularly of non-US subsidiaries
- Joint ventures
- Investment matters
- Strong writing skills, with a passion for writing about legal practice accurately, concisely, and in plain English.
- Collaborative mindset with the ability to work effectively independently and in multi-jurisdictional teams.
- Strong technical skills, including the ability to use various tools, including generative AI technologies, to enhance productivity and accuracy.
- Adaptability and flexibility to work on diverse projects and tasks within generative AI and new/emerging technologies.
- Curiosity about the intersection of AI and legal practice, with openness to change.
- Experience using AI tools in legal work.
Preferred Qualifications
- Familiarity with differences in legal practice in non-US jurisdictions, particularly Latin America.
Candidates selected for a second interview will be required to submit a writing sample.
Compensation & Benefits
- Base pay range (US eligible locations): $119,700 USD - $222,300 USD.
- Base pay is positioned within the range based on factors including knowledge, skills, and experience, with consideration given to internal equity.

- Annual bonus eligibility: This role may also be eligible for an Annual Bonus based on a combination of enterprise and individual performance.
