Skilled Legal Scopist | Remote IC Position

Overview

The organization is expanding and hiring Legal Scopists to deliver accurate, consistent, client-ready transcripts.

Responsibilities

• Scope legal transcripts for accuracy and completeness
• Apply correct legal terminology, formatting, grammar, and punctuation
• Meet deadlines while maintaining consistent quality

Requirements

• 2+ years of recent verbatim legal transcription/scoping/court reporting experience
• Strong knowledge of legal formats and terminology
• Ability to produce 300+ pages per week
• Excellent attention to detail
• Must live and work in the United States

• MAXScribe experience

Compensation & Benefits

• Starting pay: $0.75 per edited page
• Steady, reliable volume for candidates who meet quality and turnaround standards

Technical Requirements

• Intel i5 or better or AMD Ryzen 5 or above (minimum 2GHz)
• 250 GB hard drive or larger
• 12 GB RAM minimum (16 GB recommended)
• Windows 10 version 22H2 or Windows 11
• Sound card with speakers or stereo headphones
• Monitor resolution 1920 x 1080 or higher
• Internet speed at least 25 Mbps download and 3 Mbps upload
• Macintosh computers are not supported
