Technology Litigation Attorneys
Overview
A law firm is seeking a Technology Litigation Attorney to join their growing practice in the Chicago office. This role involves handling legal issues related to emerging technologies, complex commercial disputes, and high-stakes litigation. The attorney will represent leading companies in matters involving software disputes, cybersecurity incidents, data privacy, intellectual property, and technology-driven business conflicts. The position requires collaboration with a team of litigators and ownership of sophisticated cases from strategy through resolution.
Responsibilities
- Manage all phases of litigation, including pleadings, discovery, motions, and trial preparation
- Advise clients on risk mitigation related to technology and data issues
- Handle disputes involving SaaS agreements, licensing, cybersecurity breaches, and intellectual property-related matters
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams and technical experts
Requirements
- 2-4 years of litigation experience, preferably with technology-related cases
- Strong writing, analytical, and advocacy skills
- Experience managing complex cases and client relationships
Compensation & Benefits
- Competitive base salary ranging from $100,000 to $275,000 annually, depending on experience and role level

The salary ranges by position level are approximately:
- Associates (1-6+ years): $100,000–$165,000
- Senior Counsel/Of Counsel (5+ years): $140,000–$215,000
- Partners (7+ years): $190,000–$275,000+
Actual compensation varies based on experience, skills, practice area, business generation, work arrangement, and geographic market.
