WI Commercial Searcher (Remote)

Overview

This role provides global title and escrow production support across various channels, including mortgage services, commercial, direct, and agency divisions. Responsibilities focus on assembling title packages and performing research related to escrow and title closings, including locating and interpreting relevant tax documentation.

Responsibilities

• Perform a wide range of title research requiring judgment, independent analysis, and detailed knowledge; document all research.
• Conduct title research to compile search packages covering a wide range of complexity.
• Investigate and interpret tax records to determine tax liability.
• Assemble title packages and perform other research related to escrow and title closings.
• Complete work in an office, title plant, or remotely while traveling to courthouses, municipalities, and other government entities to perform searches.
• Serve as a subject matter expert when needed; may perform all work supported by the unit.
• Act as a resource to less experienced team members.
• Apply broad geographic knowledge of state practices and requirements.

Job Complexities

• Work is similar to an intermediate level role, but includes more complex, less routine, or escalated transactions based on experience and competency.

Supervision

• No formal supervisory responsibility; may function as a resource to less experienced team members.

• Knowledge of company terminology, search department procedures, and tools
• Ability to navigate company operating systems

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• 3+ years of related experience

License or Certification

Compensation & Benefits

• Pay Range: $23.37 - $31.15 Hourly, Remote
• Benefits (based on eligibility): medical, dental, vision, 401k, PTO/paid sick leave, employee stock purchase plan.
• Pay is based on factors including job-related knowledge, skills, experience, business requirements, and geographic location.
