Associate Attorney

Overview

This role involves entry to mid-level litigation work at a regional law firm specializing in general liability, professional liability, and toxic tort litigation. The firm is seeking qualified attorneys to join the Manhattan, NY office in a full-time capacity, with flexibility for remote, hybrid, or onsite work.

Responsibilities

• Handle litigation matters across general liability, professional liability, and toxic tort cases
• Draft and prepare written work product and communicate effectively in oral advocacy
• Manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment with strong attention to detail
• Use legal research and case management tools to support case preparation and administration
• Strongly preferred: track billable hours

Requirements

• Current and active NY Bar membership in good standing
• Up to 7 years of litigation experience preferred (preferably in NY, but open to candidates with relevant skills)
• Superior written and oral communications skills
• Strong organization and attention to detail
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
• Proficiency in LexisNexis
• Familiarity with case/file management systems

Preferred Qualifications

• The ability to track billable hours strongly preferred

Compensation & Benefits

• Competitive salary for the entry to mid-level litigation attorney: $90,000 – $140,000, commensurate upon experience
