Associate Attorney (Insurance Coverage)

Overview

The organization is seeking a fully remote associate to support Utah. This practice focuses on liability and insurance matters, including insurance coverage and bad faith across all lines of coverage.

Responsibilities

In this role, you will:

• Actively investigate claims and prepare case handling strategies and coverage opinions.
• Actively and effectively report to insurance carrier clients.
• Take depositions and attend hearings and mediations as required.
• Draft and submit pleadings, motions, and briefs.
• Prepare correspondence to colleagues and clients.
• Conduct legal research using Westlaw/Lexis/Nexis.
• Draft discovery requests and discovery responses.
• Review and analyze documents and materials for production.
• Prepare cases for trial/mediation and participate in trial/mediation.

Requirements

• Admitted to practice in Utah.
• Civil litigation experience.
• Excellent legal research, writing, and oral communication skills.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Ability to simultaneously handle sensitive and time-sensitive matters.
• Effective problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects.
