The organization is seeking a full-time Associate Attorney to join its consumer protection practice in Michigan. This role involves broad responsibilities across consumer protection matters, including transactional and civil litigation. While work is remote, the position requires communication with the main office via telephone and electronic means (e.g., email, Microsoft Teams) and travel for in-court appearances.

Eligibility requirement: Candidates must be located in or within a commutable distance to Metro Detroit, MI to be considered for this role.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and supervise a heavy and diversified caseload of clients in Michigan
• Communicate with clients regarding their respective matters
• Draft pleadings, motions, and legal memoranda
• Review and draft agreements
• Communicate with opposing parties to resolve and/or settle claims
• Conduct legal research on simple and complex issues in contract law and other areas of consumer law
• Travel for in-court appearances as required

Requirements

• Currently admitted to practice law in Michigan
• Minimum of 1 year of relevant experience at a law firm
• Superior organizational and time-management skills to meet strict deadlines
• Exceptional written and oral communication skills
• Highest ethical standards and professional integrity
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively with senior management and employees at all levels
• Strong legal research skills (proficiency in LexisNexis is a plus)
