Associate Attorney

Overview

A national defense law firm with multiple offices is seeking an experienced Associate Attorney to join its West Palm Beach office. This position offers flexibility with hybrid or remote work options, a competitive salary, and a comprehensive benefits package.

Responsibilities

• Independently manage a litigation caseload focused on medical-related personal injury cases
• Conduct and defend depositions of parties, experts, and medical professionals
• Prepare for and attend mediations, hearings, and motion practice
• Analyze medical records and prepare case evaluations
• Develop litigation strategies in collaboration with clients and partners
• Draft pleadings, motions, discovery responses, and legal correspondence
• Communicate proactively with clients, insurance carriers, and opposing counsel

Requirements

• Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school
• Active membership in good standing with the Florida Bar
• 4–8 years of litigation experience, preferably in medical malpractice, nursing home defense, auto accidents, or general liability
• Strong understanding of Florida court rules and procedures
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team
