Associate Attorney

Overview

This role is for an entry to mid-level Litigation Attorney with an established regional practice handling general liability, professional liability, and toxic tort litigation matters. The organization is seeking attorneys to join the team in the Maryland office in a full-time remote, hybrid, or onsite capacity.

Responsibilities

• Handle litigation matters in general liability, professional liability, and toxic tort cases
• Draft and manage written work product and communicate effectively in oral advocacy
• Organize and manage cases with strong attention to detail
• Manage multiple matters in a fast-paced environment
• Use case/file management systems to support case administration
• Track billable hours (ability strongly preferred)

Requirements

• Current and active MD Bar membership in good standing
• Up to 7 years’ litigation experience preferred, preferably in MD (open to candidates with relevant skills)
• Superior written and oral communication skills
• Strong organization and attention to detail
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint) and LexisNexis
• Familiarity with case/file management systems
• The ability to track billable hours strongly preferred

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in Maryland litigation
• Additional experience for more experienced candidates (may align with other opportunities via additional job postings)

Compensation & Benefits

• Competitive salary range for entry level to mid-level litigation attorney: $85,000 – $120,000, commensurate upon experience
