Attorney (Associate or Senior Level)- (Banking Practice Group)

Overview

The organization is seeking an Associate or Senior/Lateral Attorney for its downtown Minneapolis office to practice in commercial banking.

Responsibilities

• Draft, review, and negotiate complex loan documentation
• Review due diligence materials, including diligence materials for real estate and asset-based lending transactions
• Advise on the structuring and management of complex financial transactions
• Support transaction execution in a fast-paced, constantly changing environment
• Prioritize work, multi-task, and work independently with minimal supervision while collaborating with the team

Requirements

• Three plus years of substantive experience in a wide array of commercial banking transactions
• Substantive experience in construction lending
• Financing experience for land development
• Strong drafting skills and analytical attention to detail
• Solid commercial banking experience with good academic and professional credentials
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to prioritize, multi-task, and work independently in a fast-paced environment while collaborating with the team
• Must be licensed to practice law in MN

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with affordable housing tax credit lending

Compensation & Benefits

• Base compensation will vary based on level of experience and practice specialty: $150,000–$250,000+, depending on experience level
• Attorneys may be eligible for monthly, quarterly and/or annual bonus incentives based on performance
• Laterals with a book of business are encouraged to apply, but not necessary
