Bilingual Personal Injury Case Manager - Law Firm

Overview

The organization is seeking an experienced, bilingual Legal Case Manager to support a fast-paced California Personal Injury practice. This is a full-time contractor position (40 hours per week) with a starting pay rate of $6 per hour, depending on skillset and experience.

Responsibilities

• Case Management: Manage personal injury files from inception through pre-litigation settlement or transfer, maintaining strict deadlines and consistent client communication.
• Claims & Property Damage: Open insurance claims, report claims to carriers, and assist clients with property damage resolution.
• Medical Coordination & Records: Coordinate ongoing client medical care, track treatment milestones, and manage complete medical records and billing requests.
• Lien Management: Open and track medical liens with healthcare providers, health insurance companies, and statutory lienholders.
• File Maintenance: Maintain organized digital files and update client records within case management software.

Requirements

• Experience: Minimum 2–3 years of direct case management experience (not administrative assistant or receptionist) in a California-based Personal Injury law firm, including managing the full case lifecycle (e.g., opening claims, property damage, coordinating medical treatment, retrieving records, opening medical liens).
• Language Skills: Strong English proficiency required; bilingual English/Spanish highly preferred.
• Time Zone / Schedule: Ability to work full-time during standard Pacific Time hours (8:00 AM – 5:00 PM PST). Schedule is Monday through Friday, 8am–5pm PST.
• Skills: Excellent communication, proactive problem-solving, strong organizational skills, and high attention to detail in high-volume settings.

Preferred Qualifications

• Software: Hands-on experience with Filevine.
