Claims Counsel

Overview

This fully remote role supports claims for cyber insurance. Responsibilities include adjusting cyber claims and providing service to clients, brokers, insureds, and claimants.

Responsibilities

• Perform coverage analysis and draft claim correspondence
• Investigate incidents and support incident response activities
• Evaluate claims, including reserve adequacy and timeliness
• Maintain claim diaries
• Manage defense and coordinate coverage counsel
• Support reinsurance reporting
• Handle claim disposition
• Proactively manage claims and litigation while delivering outstanding customer service
• Provide regular communication with customers, brokers, and cross-functional departments
• Deliver claim presentations (written and oral)
• Obtain authority and/or develop appropriate action plans for difficult claims
• Market claim services and coordinate and participate in presentations to customers

Requirements

• Minimum of 2–5 years of claims handling experience
• 1 year Cyber experience required
• JD required
• Must obtain and retain required adjuster licenses
• Strong skills in coverage, claim evaluation, and negotiation
• Exceptional organizational and presentation skills
• Experience working collaboratively in a team environment and across work groups

Preferred Qualifications

• Professional Liability experience is a plus

Compensation & Benefits

Annual base salary range (United States): $120,000k–$200,000k
This salary range is an estimate and actual compensation may vary based on skills, experience, relevant certifications and trainings, and geographic location. Compensation uses the full width of the range.
