Overview
The organization is seeking a Contracts Director to lead and manage the Contracts function and team for the Military Services Solutions Business Area within the Digital Sector. This role serves as the primary interface to the Senior Vice President/Business Area Manager and Business Area staff for all Contracts-related activities, managing team resources and their utilization across the organization, and engaging with cognizant customer peers.
Responsibilities
- Lead a team of contracts professionals at all stages of career development.
- Provide oversight and review of proposals; monitor significant contracts; lead and/or assist in key negotiations.
- Resolve contract or personnel performance issues; identify risks and associated mitigations.
- Ensure compliance with organizational policies and procedures, as well as government and contract requirements.
- Coach the team on negotiating terms.
- Provide mentoring, advice, and counsel to Business Area and Sector counterparts, and Contracts staff.
- Establish measurement and functional performance goals for the team, including career development, inclusion, and team retention; provide regular feedback and conduct performance reviews.
- Interact regularly with program managers, program financial analysts, financial and business operations directors, capture/business development teams, human resources directors, and customer leadership.
- Use strong interpersonal and communication skills to work effectively with internal stakeholders and external customers.
- Collaborate with Contract & Supply Chain Directors for the Digital Sector and other Sectors.
- Attend early capture sessions to determine specific information and requirements needed to apply the correct contracts skillsets, techniques, capture methods, and resources.
- Support internal/external audit activities and respond to data requests from internal/external customers.
Basic Qualifications
- Ability to obtain a Secret Clearance.
- Bachelor’s degree and 12+ years of related experience OR Masters with 10+ years (or prior relevant experience). Additional relevant experience may be considered in lieu of degree requirements.
- Expert knowledge in government contracting, with emphasis on contract execution and proposal support.
- Experience with ID/IQ contracts.
- Excellent negotiation skills, including experience negotiating complex terms and conditions.
- Minimum of 4 years’ experience supervising or leading teams.
- Demonstrated ability to manage a geographically dispersed team of professionals.
- Experience with all contract types and working knowledge of FAR/DFARS.
- Experience with non-disclosure agreements and teaming agreements.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
- Interpersonal skills to work effectively with executive management and the team on complex Contracts matters and drive issues to resolution.
- Ability to analyze and mitigate OCI risk.
- Ability to establish relationships internally and externally.
- Proficiency in Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Acrobat.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration OR a related field.
- Direct, recent experience with Federal Government customers.
Compensation & Benefits
- Pay Range: $139,100.00 - $251,450.00
- This pay range is a general guideline and not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Offer amounts may consider job responsibilities, education, experience, knowledge, skills, abilities, internal equity, alignment with market data, any applicable bargaining agreement (if any), and other law.
