Overview

This role is a contract engagement for an experienced ERISA attorney to review and advise on health and welfare plan issues and related compliance matters.

  • Schedule: Part-time, as-needed

Responsibilities

  • Review and provide legal advice on health and welfare plan issues and related compliance matters
  • Advise clients on a broad range of employee benefit matters, including:
    • Pension and retirement plans
    • Group health plans
    • Welfare benefit plans
    • Stock option/stock grant plans
    • Executive compensation arrangements
  • Support ERISA retirement, health, and welfare plan compliance, including issues related to:
    • Health insurance and pension plans
    • Executive and deferred compensation issues
    • Employment and severance agreements

Requirements

  • 5+ years of ERISA experience in a law firm setting
  • Knowledgeable in ERISA retirement, health and welfare plans, health insurance and pension plans, executive and deferred compensation issues, and/or employment and severance agreements
  • Excellent academic credentials
  • Licensed and in good standing in the state of residence
  • Outstanding references

Compensation & Benefits

  • Pay: Annualized pay ranges from $190,000 to $230,000 when calculated on a full-time basis.
  • Contract engagement pay: Based on multiple factors including work experience, qualifications, credentials, location, market supply/demand, and the candidate’s preference.
