Contracts Manager

Overview

A technology organization is seeking a skilled Contracts Manager to join their Legal team. This role involves managing a diverse range of customer, procurement, and commercial contracts while serving as a trusted legal partner to cross-functional teams. The Contracts Manager will build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders and develop scalable resources to improve the efficiency of the Legal team and the broader company.

Responsibilities

• Manage and coordinate end-to-end review processes for sell-side and buy-side contracts, including NDAs, MSAs, Statements of Work, and procurement agreements.
• Collaborate closely with Sales, Finance, Security, and other stakeholders to facilitate deal velocity.
• Serve as the primary administrator for the contract lifecycle management (CLM) platform, overseeing system configuration, workflow design, user management, and ongoing optimization.
• Build, maintain, and improve automated contract workflows and intake processes to reduce cycle times and minimize manual steps.
• Develop and maintain commercial contract templates, clause libraries, and playbooks; continuously improve and scale contracting operations.
• Create and deliver training materials, internal guidelines, and FAQs to assist cross-functional partners and enhance self-service for routine legal questions.
• Contribute to Legal team operational initiatives, including process improvements, tool implementations, and reporting standardization.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in contract management for commercial transactions, ideally supporting a SaaS or technology company.
• Experience managing a wide variety of commercial agreements such as procurement agreements, MSAs, NDAs, and other SaaS or technical agreements.
• Hands-on experience with contract management systems (e.g., Ironclad, Zip, DocuSign, or similar).
• Ability to think creatively, work independently, and proactively.
• Collaborative and team-focused work style with a willingness to build expertise and solve new challenges in an evolving environment.
• Hyper-responsive and service-oriented attitude with a passion for solving complex problems on a small team.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with AI-powered contract tools.
• Experience implementing CLM systems and other legal operations tools.
• Project management skills are a plus.

Compensation & Benefits

• Estimated salary range: $115,000 to $170,000.
• Eligibility to participate in the organization's equity plan.
• Compensation ranges reflect salary and commission (when applicable) across multiple geographic markets and consider factors such as experience, expertise, skillset, location, and job level.
