Corporate Attorney

Overview

This role is for an experienced part-time attorney (approximately 20 hours per week, remote) supporting startup and mid-sized life sciences and technology clients. Work focuses on sophisticated corporate and transactional matters, including advising clients on structuring, drafting, and negotiating agreements, while managing client relationships in a collegial, team-oriented small-firm environment.

Responsibilities

• Advise startup and mid-sized life sciences and technology clients on corporate and transactional matters
• Structure, draft, and negotiate agreements
• Manage client relationships and provide practical, business-oriented legal advice tailored to growth-stage companies
• Conduct strong legal research to support client guidance

Requirements

• 5+ years of relevant legal experience in one or more of the following:
  • banking
  • mergers and acquisitions
  • securities offerings
  • patent licensing
  • software licensing
  • technology contracting
• Admitted to practice law in New York, New Jersey, or Delaware, and in good standing
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team-oriented, collaborative environment
• Outstanding professional references

Preferred Qualifications

Experience in one or more areas relevant to the target client base (life sciences and technology), particularly across corporate transactions and related licensing/contracting matters.

Compensation & Benefits

• Salary range: $70,000 to $100,000
• Eligible for bonuses
• Pay is based on multiple factors including work experience, qualifications, credentials, and location
