Corporate Lawyer | Upto $120/hr - AI Trainer

Overview

A remote contract opportunity is available for a Corporate Law Expert with a focus on supporting AI research labs by building realistic digital legal workspaces and designing multi-step legal tasks.

Responsibilities

• Develop a digital workspace centered on commonly used Drive folders, including engagement letters, diligence memos, deal drafts, closing checklists, board materials, opinion letters, and email threads.
• Represent and integrate platforms such as Westlaw, LexisNexis, Datasite, Intralinks, Icertis, or HotDocs within the workspace.
• Design multi-step tasks based on real client workflows covering origination, diligence, negotiation/drafting, closing, and post-closing integration.
• Challenge advanced AI agents by navigating multiple applications, files, and stakeholders.
• Collaborate with other corporate attorneys to design the environment, define task scope, and review scenarios for realism and rigor.
• Work asynchronously with research teams to refine task designs and evaluation criteria for corporate law AI benchmarks.
• Contribute to frontier AI research and benchmarking efforts that influence how leading labs train and evaluate next-generation AI systems.

Requirements

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree and active bar admission.
• Minimum of 3 years full-time corporate legal experience at an AmLaw 100 firm or Fortune 500 in-house legal department.
• Experience in areas such as mergers and acquisitions (M&A), capital markets, corporate governance, or commercial transactions.
• Regular use of legal research and document management platforms such as Westlaw, LexisNexis, Datasite Diligence, Intralinks, Icertis, or HotDocs.
• Strong analytical thinking and writing skills.

Compensation & Legal

• Hourly rate between $100 and $120.
• Initial compensation based on hourly rate, with potential transition to payment based on throughput of quality work.
