Responsibilities

• Represent clients at arraignments, motions, contested hearings, and trials
• Draft persuasive motions and constitutional arguments
• Conduct legal research and develop defense strategies
• Negotiate with prosecutors for dismissals and favorable resolutions
• Maintain strong, client-focused communication during high-stress situations

Requirements

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree
• Active Minnesota law license in good standing
• 0–3 years of criminal law experience (including internships, clerkships, or public defender experience)
• Strong courtroom presence and litigation mindset
• Excellent writing and negotiation skills
• High emotional intelligence and client advocacy focus
• Strong technical proficiency
