Overview
This role supports the Partner Implementation & Enablement function, responsible for onboarding new lending partners (banks and credit unions) to the platform and equipping existing partners to run their lending programs. The team manages the operational core of the partner relationship, including diligence materials, change management communications, and systems that deliver updates.
As the Diligence Program Lead, you will own the diligence and change management programs that lending partners depend on, including due diligence questionnaires, document libraries and access controls, and recurring notifications when policies, procedures, and models change.
Responsibilities
- Own the lending partner change management program end to end, including assembling each release, notifying partners of policy/procedure/model updates, and keeping supporting document libraries current.
- Respond to lending partner due diligence questionnaires and information requests in partnership with Compliance, Legal, and Model Risk Management to source and verify all responses.
- Maintain the partner-facing document repository and its access controls, including which materials each partner can access based on product mix and relationship stage.
- Run the recurring corrective action reporting cycle, including validating source data, distributing partner-specific reports, and confirming delivery with the teams that publish them.
- Partner with Product to move manual diligence and change management workflows onto supported tooling and document processes so they can be run by more than one person.
- Identify gaps in policy ownership and documentation approval status and raise them with Compliance and Lending Partnerships before items reach a partner.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
- 5 years of experience in financial services compliance, risk, audit, or third-party due diligence.
- 2 years of experience responding to due diligence questionnaires, regulatory examinations, or audit requests from banks, credit unions, or other regulated institutions.
- Experience owning a recurring operational or reporting process end to end, including its documentation.
- Experience administering a document management system, virtual data room, or other controlled-access content repository.
Preferred Qualifications
- Knowledge of consumer lending products and the policies that govern them, including personal loans, auto, and home equity.
- Knowledge of model risk management practices and how model documentation is shared with third parties.
- Knowledge of third-party risk management expectations at banks and credit unions.
- Skilled in using generative AI tools to draft, verify, and maintain large volumes of written documentation.
