Expert Opportunity - Copyright Counsel ($100/hr, up to $2,000/week)

Overview

An opportunity is available for an experienced copyright counsel to assist in training a language model focused on professional document, spreadsheet, and slide deck tasks. This role involves creating, evaluating, and refining AI-generated materials related to trademark and copyright workflows.

Responsibilities

• Draft and review trademark clearance and registrability opinions
• Prepare office-action responses
• Conduct copyright infringement and fair-use analyses
• Review licensing and assignment agreements
• Draft cease-and-desist correspondence
• Manage portfolio and docket trackers

Requirements

• Licensed attorney with 4+ years of experience practicing trademark and/or copyright law, either at a law firm or in-house intellectual property team
• Direct experience drafting or reviewing trademark filings, office-action responses, or infringement opinions
• Expert-level skills in creating and refining documents, spreadsheets, and slide decks
• Excellent written communication and strong attention to detail

Compensation & Commitment

• $100 per hour
• Flexible commitment of 5-20 hours per week, with the possibility of more hours if desired
