General Counsel (REMOTE)

Overview

A global music marketplace and community-driven music database is seeking a seasoned General Counsel to manage its legal strategy. This role involves navigating the unique legal challenges of a two-sided marketplace and protecting the interests of millions of music fans worldwide.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the strategic legal advisor for the organization
• Develop and own the legal strategy
• Review and sign legal documents and letters
• Defend and protect the organization's intellectual property and legacy
• Build and maintain a strong legal foundation to support future growth and music discovery initiatives

Requirements

• Extensive experience as a General Counsel or senior legal advisor
• Strong understanding of legal issues related to global marketplaces and intellectual property
• Ability to work independently and take ownership of legal matters
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills
