Overview

This role involves preparing materials for possible legal proceedings in a commercial matter. The work includes reviewing and organizing a large volume of records (such as meeting minutes, statements, decisions, correspondence, and related documents). The team plans to use AI tools to search and analyze files, and needs a detail-oriented legal professional to organize the material, guide AI-assisted review, verify outputs, and produce clear, well-sourced documentation for internal stakeholders and U.S. counsel.

Responsibilities

  • Collect, organize, and index case records (meetings, minutes, statements, decisions, correspondence) into a structured, searchable review set.
  • Identify and prioritize meetings, documents, and time periods relevant to the issues in the matter.
  • Load and prepare documents for AI review tools; write and refine search prompts; review AI output for accuracy and missing items.
  • Perform first-level document review, tagging documents for relevance, key issues, and privilege or confidentiality concerns.
  • Build chronologies, fact summaries, issue memos, and indexes of key documents, citing the source for every point.
  • Conduct background legal and factual research as directed, and summarize findings in plain English.
  • Maintain version control and an audit trail of what was reviewed, how, and what was found.
  • Participate in regular check-ins with the project lead and U.S. counsel; incorporate feedback and revise work quickly.
  • Handle all materials with strict confidentiality.

Requirements

  • Law degree (LLB, JD or equivalent).
  • At least 2 years of experience in document review, litigation support, legal research, or paralegal work.
  • Excellent written and spoken English, with the ability to write precise, professional summaries.
  • Strong organization skills and attention to detail across large document sets.
  • Comfortable using AI tools such as ChatGPT or Claude, along with legal research platforms and document management systems.
  • Reliable internet connection.
  • Availability for at least 3–4 hours that overlap with U.S. business hours.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bar admission in your own country is a plus.
