Legal Counsel

Overview

This role involves serving as Legal Counsel for a fast-growing social casino and gaming organization headquartered in Gibraltar. You will provide broad, hands-on legal support across commercial, regulatory, corporate, and compliance matters as the business scales into new global markets.

Responsibilities

• Draft, negotiate, and execute a wide range of commercial contracts (including vendor agreements and high-value partnerships), minimizing avoidable friction and keeping the business moving.
• Act as the go-to legal partner for internal teams, translating complex legal issues into clear, actionable guidance.
• Lead organizational legal risk management by identifying exposure early and developing controls to protect the business as it grows.
• Support global expansion by handling jurisdiction-specific regulatory requirements, licensing frameworks, and cross-border compliance obligations.
• Oversee corporate governance activities, including board support, statutory filings, and record-keeping.
• Manage relationships with external counsel to maintain quality and keep spend in check.
• Build legal capability across the organization through training, policy development, and scalable templates.

Requirements

• Qualified solicitor (UK or equivalent) with 3–5+ years post-qualification experience, including meaningful in-house experience.
• Experience in tech, gaming, or a fast-paced digital business.
• Broad commercial law grounding across contracts, IP, data protection, regulatory compliance, and corporate matters.
• Proven ability to manage the full contract lifecycle in partnership with commercial and product teams.
• Comfortable working across multiple jurisdictions and regulatory environments simultaneously.
• Strong drafting and negotiation skills, with clear communication suited to both board-level and day-to-day collaboration.
• Solutions-first mindset, including early problem identification, quick proposed fixes, and appropriate escalation.
