Legal Data Intelligence Lead

Overview

This role involves leveraging legal expertise to support the development and evaluation of generative AI capabilities within a technology organization focused on legal data intelligence. The position bridges legal practice and technical innovation to optimize AI solutions for legal workflows.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and improve tests, benchmarks, and evaluation systems for generative AI solutions using subject matter expertise.
• Collaborate internally with applied scientists, product managers, designers, engineers, and customer enablement teams to provide feedback on AI enablement, performance, usability, and functionality.
• Engage externally with clients and industry professionals to explain generative AI systems and gather feedback on their performance in document analysis, classification, information protection, and knowledge extraction.
• Develop and deliver training and documentation on legal data intelligence workflows and best practices for internal teams.

Requirements

• Juris Doctorate with 3-5 years of experience as a practicing attorney, or equivalent experience with a legal service provider or legal technology vendor.
• Strong interest in the responsible use of generative AI to advance legal practice and access to justice.
• Excellent communication skills, capable of synthesizing and conveying complex technical concepts to diverse audiences.
• Experience in discovery or legal technology platforms.
• Proven ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.

Preferred Qualifications

• Significant litigation experience with a deep understanding of investigations, litigation processes, discovery, and pre-trial practice.
• At least 5 years of experience as a practicing attorney.
• Strong knowledge of the traditional Electronic Discovery Reference Model (EDRM) and broader Legal Data Intelligence use cases and workflows.

Compensation & Benefits

• Competitive base salary ranging from $134,000 to $202,000.
• Eligibility for an annual performance bonus and long-term incentives.
• Final salary offer will consider experience, skills, qualifications, and internal pay equity.
