Licensing Specialist

Overview

• Fully remote position

The organization is seeking a Licensing Specialist to oversee the licensure application process for new physicians joining the team. This role helps ensure required state licenses are in place in time to support compliance and smooth onboarding. Responsibilities also contribute to ongoing operational readiness by managing licensing activities and coordinating communication between physicians, state boards, and internal teams.

Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end physician licensure processes
• Initiate, track, and communicate licensing activities and associated expenses accurately and promptly
• Ensure new physicians complete licensure applications before their start date
• Maintain up-to-date licenses and compliance for existing physicians across assigned states
• Facilitate additional licensing and compliance requirements as business needs evolve
• Clearly communicate licensing procedures with physicians and internal teams
• Coordinate with third-party licensing vendors to support timely license acquisition
• Support physicians with state board applications and follow-up documentation
• Collaborate with internal teams to provide visibility and support clinical operations priorities, including onboarding and ongoing physician communication

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of experience with multi-state physician license applications, including IMLC and State Boards
• Established contacts and relationships with state boards and the Interstate Medical Licensure Compact (IMLC)
• Strong communication and customer service skills to guide providers and stakeholders professionally
• Detail-oriented with excellent organizational, time management, and multitasking abilities

Compensation & Benefits

• Hourly rate between $31.25 and $36.06, plus benefits
