Litigation Associate Attorney – Florida

Overview

The organization is seeking a Litigation Associate to join its first-party property, third-party liability, and general casualty defense practice. Coverage experience is a plus.

This is a fully remote position. Tampa-area candidates have the option to work in the Tampa office.

Responsibilities

Working under partner supervision, the associate will handle matters from initial investigation through trial. Day-to-day duties include:

• Communicating regularly with clients and developing those relationships over time
• Advising clients on case status, hearings, and other proceedings
• Drafting and responding to written discovery
• Preparing legal memoranda, briefs, and status reports
• Taking and defending depositions
• Drafting motions and engaging in motion practice
• Appearing in court for hearings and other proceedings

Requirements

• Active license and good standing with the Florida Bar
• 1–3 years of litigation experience preferred; first-year attorneys with prior civil litigation exposure or comparable experience will also be considered
• Strong written and oral advocacy skills
• Careful attention to detail and sound legal judgment
• Ability to manage matters independently while contributing to a team
