Litigation Attorney – Houston (#832)

Overview

The Houston office of the organization is seeking a litigation attorney with at least 4 years of litigation experience, ideally in tort litigation and insurance defense, for a non-shareholder track position.

This role may be based anywhere in Texas and includes a reduced billable-hour requirement of 1600 hours annually.

Responsibilities

• Handle an active litigation practice and assume responsibility for files independently
• Draft and argue motions
• Take and defend depositions
• Evaluate, interview, and depose experts
• Support litigation strategy through strong research and writing
• Provide excellent written and oral advocacy in all phases of litigation

Requirements

• At least 4 years of litigation experience
• Texas law license required
• Strong research and writing skills
• Excellent written and oral advocacy skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience drafting and arguing motions
• Trial experience in state and federal court
• Experience in tort litigation and insurance defense

Compensation & Benefits

• Reduced billable-hour requirement: 1600 hours annually
