The firm is looking for an experienced paralegal who can take ownership of assigned documentation with minimal training and supervision.

Responsibilities

  • Produce clear, properly formatted pleadings, litigation documents, and correspondence for attorney review.
  • Build and maintain reusable legal templates to improve consistency and reduce repetitive document preparation.
  • Organize discovery materials, supporting evidence, and case files so attorneys can quickly locate needed information.
  • Track discovery deadlines and document readiness, flagging outstanding items early to support timely case progression.

  • Anticipate attorney documentation needs, communicate progress reliably, and identify practical improvements to litigation workflows.

Requirements (Must-Have)

  • At least 2 years of U.S. civil litigation experience, including hands-on experience supporting California personal injury litigation cases.
  • Strong working understanding of California civil litigation procedures, civil discovery, and litigation workflows.
  • Proven experience drafting interrogatories, requests for production, requests for admission, discovery responses, and reusable legal templates.
  • Excellent written English and legal drafting skills, including accurate legal terminology and advanced Microsoft Word skills for formatting and document preparation.
  • Strong technological proficiency, including experience with legal case management software and document management tools, plus the ability to learn new systems efficiently.
  • Ability to organize large volumes of documents, manage multiple deadlines, communicate reliably, and deliver accurate work with minimal training and supervision.

Preferred Qualifications (Nice to Have)

  • Experience using Clio.
  • Paralegal certification or formal legal studies training (equivalent hands-on litigation experience is welcome; a formal credential is not required).
