M&A Attorney (Remote)

Overview

Contract opportunity for an experienced M&A Attorney to provide legal expertise in mergers, acquisitions, and corporate transactions. This remote role allows you to work from anywhere.

Responsibilities

• Draft, review, and negotiate various M&A agreements, including purchase agreements, asset purchase agreements, and stock purchase agreements.
• Conduct due diligence on target companies to identify legal risks and liabilities.
• Advise on corporate governance, compliance, and regulatory issues related to M&A transactions.
• Collaborate with finance, tax, and operations teams to facilitate transaction execution.
• Ensure all transaction documents comply with legal standards and minimize potential liabilities.

Requirements

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
• Active membership in a state bar association.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience handling M&A transactions.
• Strong knowledge of corporate law, securities regulations, and contract drafting.
• Experience with both domestic and cross-border M&A deals.
• Ability to analyze complex legal documents and identify key issues.

Compensation & Benefits

• Contract position
• Hourly rate: $80 - $105
