Real Estate Staff Attorney (Remote)

Overview

A legal team is seeking a part-time, hourly Staff Attorney to support their Real Estate practice, with a particular focus on renewable energy projects. This role averages approximately 20 hours per week, with some variation based on workflow and project needs.

This position offers an opportunity for an experienced attorney to engage in meaningful, sophisticated work within a flexible, part-time arrangement.

Responsibilities

• Support renewable energy projects, including site development, leasing, and related agreements
• Draft, review, and revise real estate documents
• Conduct due diligence, title and survey review, and closings
• Perform legal research and issue spotting related to real estate matters
• Provide other project-based support as needed

Requirements

• J.D. from an accredited law school
• Licensed and in good standing in at least one U.S. jurisdiction (Michigan preferred)
• Prior experience in real estate transactions; experience with renewable energy projects is a plus
• Strong drafting, organizational, and analytical skills
• Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with a larger team
• Flexibility to adjust hours as project demands fluctuate
