Overview
This role supports regulatory and licensing program management across multiple markets. You will drive licensing applications from filing strategy through to approval, coordinating work across legal, compliance, and other cross-functional teams while handling sensitive regulatory and business information with discretion.
You will serve as an individual contributor, leading by influence and defining how the program function operates across the global policy organization.
Responsibilities
- Support licensing applications end-to-end, from building the case for entering a market through to approval, managing several programs at once.
- Build and maintain program plans per market, including sequencing, dependencies, owners, and dates.
- Partner with cross-functional teams (Legal, Commercial, Compliance, Finance, Treasury, Product, Engineering, People & Workplace, and others) to translate regulatory requirements into executable plans.
- Facilitate working sessions and executive steering committee briefings by setting agendas, framing decisions, and closing the loop on outcomes.
- Track and manage risks across all active programs, owning escalation paths and engaging the right stakeholders early.
- Define and manage reporting and metrics to provide senior leadership and cross-functional partners with accurate, up-to-date visibility across the portfolio.
- Establish and evolve scalable service standards for how regulatory and licensing programs are run.
- Support, as directed, external procurement activities, including scoping, contracting, budget, and delivery.
- Strengthen the global policy organization’s operating rhythm for consultations, submissions, briefings, and events.
- Act as the go-to for program management across the global policy organization, setting standards for planning, communication, and execution.
Requirements
- 7+ years of program or project management experience, including at least 4 years supporting regulatory, licensing, legal, or compliance work at a financial services, fintech, or similarly regulated company.
- Direct involvement in at least one licence, registration, or charter application, from early requirements through to submission, or end-to-end work supporting a regulatory examination or remediation.
- Experience delivering complex, multi-month programs with many dependencies and deadlines you do not control.
- Ability to hold senior colleagues to commitments you do not have direct authority to enforce, and to raise risks before they feel comfortable.
- Daily, practical use of AI in your own work, including using it first for research, analysis, and internal reporting, and knowing where human verification is required.
- A track record of building with AI (not only prompting), including shipped reporting workflows, automations, or internal tools used by others in environments like Claude, Vibebox, or equivalent.
- Strong written communication, including the ability to turn inputs into a one-page executive status update.
- Discipline to follow requirements through to closure, with sound judgment for confidential and privileged material.
- Flexibility on working hours to support licensing and regulatory activity across time zones, including regular engagement with regulators in other regions and occasional deadline- or regulator-driven demands outside normal business hours.
- Familiarity with generative AI models (ChatGPT, Gemini, etc.) and prompt development.
Preferred Qualifications
- Familiarity with regulatory questions specific to stablecoins and digital assets, including reserve composition and attestation, redemption, safeguarding customer funds, and the payments, e-money, and virtual asset regimes.
- Experience working with one or more high-bar financial services regulators in any major jurisdiction.
- Fluency in an additional language.
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience.
- Experience or familiarity with Slack, Apple macOS, and GSuite.
