Overview
This role is responsible for driving regulatory and licensing applications from filing strategy through to approval. Licensing, registration, and charter applications are multi-month programs on a regulatory timeline and require coordination across multiple teams. The role provides early visibility into sensitive business and regulatory decisions and requires handling confidential and privileged information with discretion.
Responsibilities

- Build and maintain program plans for each market, including sequencing, dependencies, owners, and dates.
- Partner with cross-functional teams (including Legal, Commercial, Compliance, Finance, Treasury, Product, Engineering, People & Workplace, and others) to translate regulatory requirements into executable plans.
- Facilitate working sessions and executive steering committee briefings, including setting agendas, framing decisions, and closing the loop on outcomes.
- Track and manage risks across all active programs, owning the escalation path and engaging the right stakeholders early.
- Define and manage reporting and metrics to provide senior leadership and cross-functional partners with accurate, up-to-date visibility into the portfolio of markets.
- Establish and evolve scalable service standards for how regulatory and licensing programs are run.
- Support external procurement activities as directed, including scoping, contracting, budgeting, and delivery.
- Strengthen how the global policy organization operates by bringing consistent discipline to consultations, submissions, briefings, events, and related activities.
- Serve as the go-to program management lead across the global policy organization, setting the standard for program execution and helping team members improve planning, communication, and execution.
Requirements
- 7+ years of program or project management experience, including at least 4 years supporting regulatory, licensing, legal, or compliance work at a financial services, fintech, or similarly regulated company.
- Direct involvement in at least one licence, registration, or charter application, from early requirements to submission; OR direct involvement in a regulatory examination or remediation carried end to end.
- Experience delivering complex, multi-month programs with many dependencies and a deadline the role holder does not control.
- Ability to hold senior colleagues to commitments without formal enforcement authority, and to raise risks early.
- Daily, practical use of AI in own work, including using it first for research, analysis, and internal reporting, and knowing when a human must verify outputs.
- A track record of building with AI (not only prompting it), including shipping reporting workflows, automations, or internal tools that other people use in environments like Claude, Vibebox, or equivalent.
- Strong written communication, including the ability to synthesize inputs into a one-page executive status update.
- Discipline to follow requirements through to close and sound judgment with confidential and privileged material.
- Flexibility on working hours to support licensing and regulatory activity across time zones, including regular engagement with regulators in other regions and occasional deadline- or regulator-driven demands outside normal business hours.
- Familiarity with generative AI models (e.g., ChatGPT, Gemini) and prompt development.
Preferred Qualifications
- Familiarity with regulatory questions specific to stablecoins and digital assets, including reserve composition and attestation, redemption, safeguarding of customer funds, and payments, e-money, and virtual asset regimes.
