Senior Counsel Coverage attorney

Overview

This role involves joining the organization’s insurance coverage practice as a Senior Counsel with 10+ years of insurance coverage experience. The position is available to candidates who have an active California bar license and may be performed from any state in the U.S. either fully remote or hybrid.

Responsibilities

• Oversee complex insurance coverage litigation and manage multiple cases from intake through settlement or trial
• Develop and implement litigation strategies and budgets
• Conduct and defend depositions and argue dispositive motions
• Provide strategic legal advice to clients in business, professional liability, and employment disputes
• Negotiate and draft settlement agreements
• Assist with marketing and business development efforts to drive firm growth and strengthen client relationships

Requirements

• Active California bar license (required)
• Juris Doctor from an accredited law school
• 10+ years of litigation experience (required)
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Exceptional writing, organizational, and advocacy skills
