Senior Legal Counsel

Overview

This role supports a global venture builder focused on developing and scaling disruptive startups with deep technologies. The organization is seeking a dedicated and experienced Senior Legal Counsel to join its legal and financial team and help support legal aspects of a portfolio of commercial activities.

Responsibilities

• Handle and support legal activities and relationships across the portfolio.
• Oversee the work of the portfolio’s external law firms.
• Ensure compliance with legal requirements worldwide, including registrations and licenses with local and international regulatory bodies.
• Analyze and identify legal and financial risks and implications.

Requirements

• Minimum of 7 years of experience working in top-tier law firms or in-house.
• Strong general legal matters experience, including:
  • Corporate and commercial law
  • Startup legal matters
  • Financing rounds
  • Commercial contracts, including licensing agreements, manufacturing agreements, distribution agreements, and related work
• Excellent verbal communication skills and negotiation ability.
• Strong organizational, planning, and time-management skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks, work with short lead times, and meet tight deadlines.
• Hard-working, dynamic, proactive, team-oriented, and able to work as a self-starter.
• English: Native or Proficiency level.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in IP matters (advantage).
• Experience in international tax law (advantage).
• Background in accounting (advantage).
