Technology and Innovations Practice Area Attorney

Department: Chief Legal Counsel
Schedule: Full time, Days
Salary Range: $140,859.84 - $196,350.53 per year
Eligible for an annual bonus incentive

Responsibilities

• Provide legal advice, support, and counsel within the technology and innovations practice area to support strategic and operational priorities.
• Draft, review, and negotiate technology contracts related to the use, licensing, and procurement of technology services.
• Collaborate with the organization's subsidiary group purchasing organization on complex technology contract negotiations.
• Develop and maintain subject matter expertise in areas such as FDA software as a medical device, Cures Act/Information Blocking, data privacy and security, and commercialization of internally developed software and technologies.
• Implement and enhance policies, procedures, and guidelines supporting the technology and innovations practice area.
• Stay current with legal developments affecting technology and innovations and incorporate this knowledge into organizational advice and support.

Requirements

• Juris Doctorate degree.
• Licensed attorney prior to hire or job transfer date, with licensure relevant to the state where work is performed.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience as a licensed, practicing attorney.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience supporting legal matters in the Technology and Innovations field.
• Some experience in private legal practice.
