The organization has various opportunities across multiple Substantive Law Units. Examples of assignments include:

Responsibilities

Family Law Assignments

Assignments may include (as applicable):

• Research
• Drafting legal documents
• Assistance with trial preparation
• Attending court appearances when applicable

Available Family Law assignments include:

• Ocala/remote
• Palatka/remote

Family Law “Red Book” Conversion

• Convert the Family Unit “Red Book” (2,000 pages)
• Remove green hyperlinks to lexis for case law, bar opinions/rules, and Florida Statutes to free sources
• Take old pleadings and make them standard to local rules, including removal of case identifiers
• Research and drafting as assigned

Location: Palatka/remote

Legal HELPline (HL) Intake and Content Support

• Gather case laws for common Family Law issues on the HL, coordinating with the Family Unit law intern
• Drafting
• Online intakes
• Support community outreach materials, including videos and scripts for Evictions/Foreclosures
• Update website content, including Florida Law Help (sample answers) for common issues on the HL
• Support SharePoint modernization, including content and placement for the Helpline
