Associate Attorney (Remote)

Overview

An Associate Attorney position is available to manage the full lifecycle of litigation cases, typically handling 30 to 40 cases concurrently. This role involves developing and executing case strategies in collaboration with clients, conducting depositions, drafting motions, and gaining trial experience. The position is remote, requiring an independent approach to onboarding and case management.

Responsibilities

• Manage cases from initial assignment through resolution
• Conduct depositions and examinations under oath
• Draft and argue motions
• Prepare legal opinions and analyses
• Lead trials as first chair after gaining experience
• Collaborate with clients to develop and execute case strategies
• Work effectively in a remote environment while maintaining strong team collaboration

Requirements

• 3-5 years of litigation experience, including discovery, motions, and depositions
• Strong litigation skills with a desire to try cases
• Willingness to travel within California for court appearances and trials
• Admission to the California Bar
• Insurance defense litigation experience preferred
• Experience developing case strategies with clients preferred
• Background handling cases through trial as lead attorney preferred

Compensation & Benefits

• Salary range: $130,000 - $175,000 per year, depending on experience
