Corporate Counsel

Overview

A healthcare industry leader is seeking a Corporate Counsel to provide business-aligned legal guidance focused on governance, compliance, and operational risk management. This role involves partnering with leadership, compliance stakeholders, and cross-functional teams to translate complex legal issues into practical recommendations that support responsible execution, improve decision-making, and foster sustainable growth.

Responsibilities

• Review and negotiate vendor and partner contracts to ensure reasonable terms
• Conduct high-volume commercial and government contract reviews and negotiations
• Analyze public and private sector RFPs for legal compliance
• Support RFP response and procurement teams with client agreements
• Collaborate with the Contract Administration team to meet business needs
• Understand product and service roadmaps, capabilities, and pricing models
• Ensure contracts are reviewed and approved by relevant business teams
• Maintain agreement forms, playbooks, and negotiation guides

Requirements

• Licensed to practice law in any US jurisdiction
• JD from a leading law school
• Minimum of 6 years of in-house business contracting experience
• Strong academic credentials

Preferred Qualifications

• Certified Information Privacy Professional/United States (CIPP/US) certification
• Experience with contract management systems and legal research tools
• Familiarity with legal CRM tools (e.g., Clio, MyCase)
• Understanding of cybersecurity tools and practices (e.g., TLS, two-factor authentication, AES, PKI)
• Knowledge of regulatory compliance management systems
• Experience with project management tools (e.g., Jira, Trello)

Compensation & Benefits

• Annual salary range: $133,000 – $173,000
