Intake Processor

Overview

This role supports bankruptcy matters by processing high volumes of incoming legal referrals. Work is fully remote from home.

Responsibilities

• Open new legal referrals in the organization’s internal case management software
• Download corresponding documents from client systems and PACER
• Review referrals to ensure all necessary information and documents are present, in accordance with client/court/judge requirements
• Request and follow up on any missing information or documents needed to proceed with the file
• Forward complete files to the appropriate department/attorney to ensure timely handling
• Assist with additional projects as needed

Requirements

• High school diploma
• Prior bankruptcy experience preferred but not required
• Self-motivated and able to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to open and review high volumes of new referrals effectively and accurately
• Ability to communicate with coworkers, attorneys, and other staff members regarding files
• Ability to interpret client systems
• Proficiency with software tools including Word, Excel, Outlook, and the Internet
• Strong organizational and multi-tasking skills
• Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior bankruptcy experience
