IP Operations Systems Specialist

Overview

This is a remote-first position focused on candidates in MA, DE, NY, CA, DC, MN, TX, GA, and IL. Work is primarily performed from home with no expectation of a regular in-office presence.

This role supports IP operations by maintaining and validating IP systems, assisting with daily matter operations updates, and creating recurring and ad hoc reporting to meet practice group and departmental needs.

Responsibilities

• Ensure IP systems are maintained through regular audits, data cleanup, and validation.
• Assist with daily matter opening and staffing updates required by practice groups.
• Develop and run recurring and ad hoc reports and audits in response to requests made through processes established by department leadership.
• Assist with initiatives to implement automation to improve efficiencies for the IP Operations team and practice groups.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in business administration or similar field, or equivalent experience.
• Demonstrated proficiency in:
  • Microsoft Word
  • Microsoft Excel
  • IP docketing/management systems
  • Document management systems
• At least 3 years of experience in patent or trademark prosecution support services (preferred).
• MS SQL skills (preferred).

• Final compensation will be based on factors including education, experience, skills, professional background, overall qualifications, and location.

Estimated starting pay:

• Boston, New York, San Diego, and Silicon Valley: $37.36 - $46.70 per hour (based on a 35-hour workweek), equivalent to $68,000 - $85,000 annually.
• Chicago, Minneapolis, and Washington, D.C.: $34.87 - $43.59 per hour (based on a 37.5-hour workweek), equivalent to $68,000 - $85,000 annually.
