Middle Legal Counsel

Overview

The organization is growing its legal team and is seeking a versatile, sharp-minded lawyer to take ownership of a broad range of corporate and commercial work while supporting expansion across multiple jurisdictions. This role is well-suited to someone who works effectively with autonomy, enjoys solving problems independently, and is comfortable in a fast-paced, continuously evolving environment.

Responsibilities

• Draft, review, and negotiate commercial contracts with partners, payment providers, and other counterparties
• Provide corporate support across a multi-jurisdictional group of companies, including corporate documentation and entity-level changes
• Support legal review for new product launches and marketing materials
• Coordinate with external legal counsel across multiple countries
• Work closely with Product, Marketing, Finance, and Operations on day-to-day legal matters
• Help develop and improve contract templates and internal legal processes
• Support risk identification and pre-litigation matters

Requirements

• 3–5+ years of legal experience, with a strong focus on corporate law and commercial contracts
• Experience at an international law firm (ILF); 2+ years is a strong plus
• Strong critical thinking skills and ability to independently navigate non-standard situations
• High resilience and comfort with ambiguity, shifting priorities, and a fast-moving environment
• Proactive mindset with ability to see tasks through without constant oversight
• English at B2/C1 level or above

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in fintech, crypto, Web3, or payments
• Working knowledge of AML/KYC and GDPR
• Experience working across multiple jurisdictions simultaneously
• Comfort using AI tools (LLMs) in day-to-day legal work
