Senior Counsel, Public Sector Sales
Overview
The organization is seeking a Senior Legal Counsel to support Public Sector Sales business in North America. This role reports to the General Counsel, North America, and will partner with North America Sales leaders and their teams, along with other legal specialists.
Responsibilities
This position provides legal counsel and support across a range of legal matters for the North America Public Sector business covering products and services offerings (PC, Data Center products, Phones, Services). Responsibilities include legal support and advisory work on:
- Bids, buying platforms, and contracts for the organization’s FED/SLED business
- Legal issues that arise during the contract/relationship lifecycle, including problem-solving, dispute management (pre-litigation), and bid protests
- Advising on procurement rules and working with Government Relations on new regulations
- Partnering with Data Privacy/Security on sensitive data matters
- Advising and managing Federal Contractor compliance requirements, including support for periodic audits as needed (in coordination with Compliance)
- Supporting other general commercial matters as part of the North America legal team
The Senior Counsel is expected to identify and address legal risk in a fast-paced, large-scale commercial environment, and grow as a trusted business advisor and legal expert for Public Sector sales matters.
Qualifications
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree with strong academic credentials
- Current bar membership in the US
- 9+ years of legal experience (5+ years of law firm experience preferred)
- Experience with large public sector commercial deals
- Experience with large, complex contracts for enterprise customers
- Experience with services solutions organizations
Compensation & Benefits
- Base salary range: $200,000 - $225,000
- Individuals may also be considered for bonus and/or commission.
- Benefits are available through the organization’s benefits program.
