The position is fast-paced and metrics-driven, combining dispatch-like coordination with negotiation, relationship management, and pipeline oversight.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain a live book of court hearings and work assigned hearings daily by phone, text, and email to secure attorney coverage before hearing dates.
  • Negotiate fees in real time, including holding your position on pricing, addressing counteroffers, and extending above-standard offers when market conditions require it—while protecting margin.
  • Triage a fast-moving pipeline by prioritizing competing hearings and making quick, informed judgment calls.
  • Handle last-minute changes, cancellations, and urgent coverage gaps with a solutions-first approach.
  • Onboard and support attorneys by walking new attorneys through how coverage works, answering questions, and serving as a go-to contact.
  • Keep law-firm clients informed by updating hearing status to build trust and prevent surprises.
  • Keep data accurate by logging activity, confirming assignments, and maintaining an up-to-date pipeline.
  • Identify recurring coverage gaps and contribute ideas during daily huddles and team meetings.

Requirements

  • 1+ year of experience in a role requiring high-volume phone outreach or direct negotiation. Examples include inside sales, SDR/BDR, account management, collections, dispatch, scheduling, or high-touch customer service.
  • Strong verbal and written communication; comfortable and efficient on the phone.
  • Highly organized with the ability to manage many open items at once without missing details.
  • Calm and decisive under deadline pressure; able to make the call and keep moving.
  • Tech-comfortable and quick to learn new platforms.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in staffing, dispatch, gig-platform operations, or a high-volume call-center/outbound environment.
  • A track record of hitting or exceeding KPIs in a metrics-driven role.
  • Familiarity with CRM or scheduling tools.
